Forum 11 Archive, 3/11/16, Karratha

Sponsored by:

Transafe WA’s 11th Road Transport Industry Safety Forum was held in Karratha in Cup Week on Thursday 3 November 2016. A good crowd of between 40-50 participants attended and the majority stayed for the full day’s program.

Stephen Lane, Senior Dangerous Goods Officer with the Department of Mines and Petroleum was a presenter and sits on the Transafe WA Committee of Management. Here’s what he had to say about the day:

“I believe our forum was a most successful one, and that was particularly due to the local input delivered in a number of sessions.  Having Peter Wyse (EDL) and Andrew Swart (DirectHaul) present their partnership with such enthusiasm set the scene – it generated a lot of questions and discussion.  As did the Fatigue Management session by Rod Hunt (Centurion) and Michael Soutar (Toll). Heather (PHH Girls) rounded off a good day.

I felt proud to be associated with Transafe and believe that we have established a sound base for returning to the Pilbara.”
