The Founding Chairman of TRANSAFE WA recently passed away after a battle with brain cancer.

Steve Post died on 24 June 2021.

“A passionate and dedicated advocate for the road transport industry in Western Australia, Steve strove for safe and fair outcomes for individuals, industry and the community,” Transafe WA said in a statement.

“As Chair of this Association since its incorporation in 2012, it was Steve’s vision to provide a forum for industry to share information and progress positive change that would ensure personal and industry risk was absolutely minimised.

“Steve was a forward thinker who determinedly worked to ensure positive outcomes rather than simply talk. His passion was fuelled by the experiences of his many roles in industry from owner driver to risk assessor, and by his genuine care for people, and for what he felt was right.

“Our deepest sympathy has been extended to Carole, Matthew, Kate and Louisa – his wife and children whom he adored – and to the extended Post family.”

Transafe WA is a not-for-profit industry initiative that is actively working to help deliver a custom truck and trailer combination spec’d to deliver innovative educational road safety programs later this year.
